S14 SR20 in S15 - Quick question
Hey guys, I did search but can't find what I need...
I have an automatic and na s15 spec-s (rolling chassis lol)... I'm trying to find a nice s15 sr20 with tranny but ive come across a good deal on a s14 half cut with driveshaft, diff, brakes, etc... My questions : - should I really only be looking for an s15 engine or a good deal on an s14 vtc one is a good idea? - is the wiring job really a pita? I may be going with a standalone... - do you think the pedal set will fit on the s15 (auto to manual) - and lastly... To be honest, I've been out of the S chassis scene for a while (had 3 s13)... On the more recent sr20s... What turbo would you use to make approx 320whp (fast spooling for racing and reliable) - Just want to gauge ideas here, still have a lot of research to do and wondering if the 2871r is still the way to go... Thanks! |

Gtx2863 or 2867... Personally, wait for an S15 motorset to pop up. Larger injectors, turbo and overall newer engine. You'll have less wiring to deal with in that case as well.

It's not road racing applications that kill the SR trans. It's typically jammin gears and hard launches that are their undoing.
