Well...you could roll up with some of us SD guys to Mays 2009 D1 event in Anaheim. Also, we have bi-weekly Thursday night meets in the Southbay. Downtown gaslamp is a fun spot on the weekends. Really depends on what you like to do...definitely stay away from TJ.

I loved to eat at Tajima on convoy road when I visited there it's on convoy road (the most asian place in the area. )
Another place to chow down is hash house I never got to eat there but I heard it's good and you always have to make reservations weeks in advance.

Hash House is awesome but I dont think they take reservations. Its a awesome breakfast place but come with an appetite because the portions are HUGE! Try to get there early because the lines get long...
Another good spot is Shout House in Downtown Gaslamp area. If you like the 80's genre or just music in general...its a good kick back spot to hang out and drink with friends. Theres also a bar / bowling alley downtown but you have to reserve a lane in advance...good times there as well. Pacific Beach is a nice area to hang out...lots of bars and restaurants. Theres a lot of stuff to do and see in San Diego...just depends on what you feel like doing.

our thurs meet had a good turn out last time. I stopped by for a few minutes but looked to be about 20+ cars. There's also a Wednesday meet of different cars (Japanese, euro, etc.) in the southbay off of telegraph in chula vista by the target. Last wed had about 50 cars. Originally a gay sdrev meet but the peeps are cool since it's not any of the admins or mods of that forum that show up. Good way to meet other enhusiasts.
