Clunking sound in rear, subframe bushings?
I've got a '91 S13 SE Hatch and when I go over small bumps and stuff sometimes with the gas pressed, it'll go CLUNK CLUNK CLUNK CLUNK and become really unstable until I let off the gas or go over whatever it was I go over.
I want to buy whatever it is to fix it as soon as possible, but I'm not really sure where to begin. Is this the rear subframe bushings gone out? How do I check to see if it is for sure, and how do I install them? |

if all your suspension arms are bolted down tightly then i would think its the subframe bushings. you gotta remember its almost a 20 year old car, the bushings are probably shot.

If I drift over slight dips, or bumps my car clunks in the rear too. I at first assumed it was subframe bushings, but my friend told me it had to do with the spring/ perch in my rear suspension setup.
