Gas pedal

I just bought a 89 S13. Sometimes the gas pedal will get stuck up and will have to give it a good push to get it unstuck and itll rev to around 4k when you do this.is there any know reason that it gets stuck. its a ka24e.

Check the throttle line from motor all the way to pedal there might be something stuck or something in the linkage spray wd 40 and see if that frees it up

try to turn the throttle body by hand and if it sticks then you probably have some carbon built up in there and its holding the butterfly shut. mine used to do that cuz the motor sat for a while, i just opened it up and took a small brush in there with some carb cleaner and it stopped sticking.
