Pro-Am S13 Coupe from Dayton build
Well I'm awfully bored at work, and I figured I'd share the build on my 240sx over the last year and season of drifting in the 2011 Midwest Drift Union FD Pro-Am series... And also begin the build for the 2012 season.
So the chassis is a 93 coupe, very rust free from Georgia. Sunroof-less and no power options. I picked up as pretty much a bare shell in rough shape from someone who didn't really know what they were doing. The full list of end modifications on this car ended up being this.. Engine: SR20 Redtop motor S15 dual BB turbo Deatchwerks 550cc injectors Z32 maf Hybrid Dynamics ROM tuned ecu Apexi intake Koyo Radiator Samco hoses PBM Highmount intercooler Walbro 255 fuel pump Tomei turbo elbow Greddy downpipe ISIS 4in dual tip catback Circuit sports stainless turbo lines Dual electric fans ACT 6 puck clutch TODA racing lightweight flywheel Suspension/ Chassis: Custom 6pt roll cage FD spec Fortune Auto 500 coilovers Fortune Auto tension rods SPL parts toe, RUCA, and traction rods SPL parts solid subframe bushings Solid engine and trans mounts Energy suspension bushing kit Tein inner/outer tie rods with spacer S14 front suspension and 5 lugs all around Interior: 2 Bride vios III knock offs 2 Takata harnesses Nagisa rails NRG deep suede wheel/ thin hub/ QR Prosport 60mm gauges boost/oil press/water temp Greddy profec b spec 2 kept the dash/ carpet and door panels in exterior: BN type 2 knock off front bumper and sides Uras style rear bumper Uras GT WING Origin 40mm front fenders Origin 50mm rear overs Knock off roof wing H4 lights with 16000k pink HID's Teal green metallic paint Origin smoked tails ebay ganador style mirros Brakes/ wheels: Z32 front brake conversion Circuit sports drilled/slotted rotors Hawk HPS pads all around Agency power lines all around Racing Logic Hydraulic E-brake 18x10/ 18x11.5 Work Emitz 18x10 FR500's 18x10.5 RPF1's 18x10.5 Varrstoens I think that covers all the bases of what was done to this car. So here we go build time woooo... Picked the car up in March, and took it straight to getting caged. First picture of the car, as I began stripping it out to get prepared for the cage, at this point it still has the previous owners 5 lug on it, that goes away soon. Car totally stripped out and ready for cage fitting. Good Friend of mine did this cage, I helped a little bit. At the end of the day looking very haggard. Started Collecting some parts... More cage stuff. New subframe ready to go in. Test fitting seat before finishing cage Put a better front crossmember in than the busted up one that came with the car. along with the steering rack bushings. Then the cage was finished so I took the car back to my garage and got to work on other fun things. Like re cutting the awful cut fenders Testing the overs and painting the cage. Chopped up the front to fit the PBM Highmount Tossed the motor in Cut up the dashboard and shoved it in Mounted the Hydro Put some more of the motor together Z brakes, extended studs, fortune auto parts Put my door panels in with a little bit of dremel trimming Mounted a fender and the 326 power wing so I could see it all together for once These tips are large! Test fitted one of the emitz. I failed at taking pictures of all the rear suspension and links cause it was all boring and black. So I got tires mounted... 235/40 on an 11.5 lol... Had to grind nissan off the calipers to fit the wheels, even with a 12mm spacer Then Got everything buttoned up and lowered it onto 4 wheels for pretty much the first time ever... for me. Things fell right into place. The next day rolled it out into the sunlight to stare at. The interior all buttoned up and finished Then took the car to the alignment shop... horrible specs -6 camber front and -5... that was when I knew the emitz had to go soon. But not yet!
