Hawaii is in a tsunami warning waves to arrive around 3am. Evacuation sirens are going off every hour. Gas stations have a minimal of 40 cars in line to get gas. Been pretty hectic tonight. Thank god I just moved to higher ground and my 240 is safe. Prayers go out to everyone in japan!

Well, PM me when you get news from your wife that power is back up down there. I got a couple folks that I can relay the info to.
One of my co-worker, who's deployed right now, his wife is from Misawa. We're still trying to get ahold of her down here to see if she needs anything. Fortunately, he's coming back on island tomorrow night from his deployment. |

Yeah I just saw that, the cooling systems stopped working.
Fortunately most of the power plants went into safe mode during the quake.

gas stations crowded down here in Hawaii. thankfully everyone is courteous, showing much aloha in this hectic time. water has already been shut off. coastal areas being evacuated. around 2 more hours til the first waves may/will be landing.

Thanks for everyones comments, thoughts, and prayers. I'm in Chiba and we have a huge oil refinery that blew up about 20 min away from my house, tons of people can't leave Tokyo since the trains are down, and the coastal damage is unsurpassed by any other earthquake on Japan since 1900.
