Stock scissor jack...ever break on ya?
I was thinking how great it would be if i could somehow make an adapter to a hand drill to work the screw on the stock scissor jacks. It'd be great cuz you could use the stock lip jacking points, have a light jack to move around, and control going down a lot better than releasing a valve.
But durability issues came to mind. I started to wonder if these jacks were only made for those times you need to replace a flat...I've heard of at least one person who's thread on their jack broke, causing the car to fall. (luckily not from too high) Anyone use their stock jack extensively and have any failures? |

Okay, I will admit. I have never had a flat on my 240sx. But I have used it to left my car just a bit to get my floor jack to the crossmember. Once I got it high enough with the floor jack, I would put stands under there.
I still don't trust it much though. Jeff
