megan suspension parts?
I have heard a lot of prople talking shit about megan suspension parts but nobody that I have heard has specified what is wrong with them they just say that they're "cheap knockoffs". What problems have people had? Are the bearings crap? Do the welds break? Do they not fit right? Your input would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

i got the tension rods in my daily
bearings are crap - grease fitting shit. But for the price I got some aurora ends and it still ran me under 120 new. No welds or anything to break, so I can't comment on those. As far as RUCAs go - Im going with BV |

I run megan coilovers myself. Not the hottest most quality damped shit out there, but good enough what I need them for.

Has anyone had one break on them though? I don't give a crap about the bearings because they are replaceable and you still come out cheaper than any other brand of suspension arms. I know that they're not the best, SPL is the best in my opinion, but I wanna know if anyone has had a megan arm break or crack on them. I don't really give a crap about anybody's opinion that doesn't have personal experience with these parts.

BTW not to get off topic lol. I had a set of Megan Racing sleeve-on coilovers on a hatchback civic I had and the ride quality was not "good" at all but they did what they were supposed to as far as making the car handle quite a bit better. I only ran them for about 4 months and then sold the car though so I couldn't quote anything on long term durability. I was happy for 100 bucks though.

The only arms from megan that I am still worried about is the rear upper arms because they are the only megan arms that are tubular welded arms so they are the only ones that I would be worried about breaking. As for the bearings being crap, DUH look at the price, luckily they are replaceable though. My car is basically a track/canyon slut. I completely gutted it (not even a heater left), stitch welded the whole front end, installed a full energy suspension kit, swapped the twin cam KA from my wrecked '92 coupe, just got some tein flex coilovers, installing a vlsd tomorrow, and have some other misc bushings, mounts, and braces installed. It definitely deserves the title "slut" though because it is fucking ugly right now the body is like 4 diffrerent colors, but i've only owned this one for like 4 months though so it's ok for now. |

Damn should have figured that one out, but while everybody was messaging on the internet I was in the garage working on my dad's formula atlantic cars so at least I have some kind of an excuse. Still should have got it though. |

Wow. I searched megan on zilva and only threads i came across praised them as very good even for the price. Then i come across this one and people bad mouth them. So searchin this forum wont help anything. One fact is though. Ive found a fuck load more good praise for megan than bad praise on this forum. I have megans and they are fine, but i dont do any motor sports. If anyone has a pic of a megan product please post!
