wings has a review on this forum somewhere,
http://zilvia.net/f/businesses/19741...rformance.html Initial D, i heard some bad reviews from friends, but nothing personal yet. so i can't comment. Personally, I go to New Hope Auto in Sunset Brooklyn. They're crazy expensive, but they know their shit and staring at an R33 while they work on your car ain't that bad either. heh |

i never had a problem with initial d personally.. and they do know 240's pretty well, they did alot of work on mines, fixed my stalling ka-t. there was also another place in queens rpm performance, don't know if they are still around but i just heard of them never been there, and if you got deep pockets you can check out vinny ten racing in amittyville long island, like i said deep pockets cause he is known guy (so you know he over charges), a friend of mines turbocharged his z there.. but its always best to find a shop close to you so if something happens its not to far..
Enkei2k, what bad reviews did you hear about initial d? anything specific? Last edited by madd ocx; 03-04-2009 at 12:16 AM.. Reason: add info |

Well the few I know is RPM in queens is good I seen them do a lot of nice work.
I know some guys are INITIAL D (they changed their name but same owners) Chris that works there does really nice work. They are located on 18th ave. between bath and benson. I've never dealt with SKY performance (i've heard good things) they are on 65th between 14th and 13th. My mechanic is about to open a shop "KINGS MOTOR WORKS" So look out. Hes on 62nd and 9th. He works for a team in > Formula D <. He is god to me haha. Hope that helps. -K

i recently just went over to tantrum racing over in queens because my brother needed to pick up his car there. i see the OP is in queens also, so maybe you might want to check them out. i spoke with a guy that had an s13 (forgot his name) with work termists wheels. seemed pretty knowledeable and friendly IMO. i might check them out over the summer when i get the chance. i don't have their contact info handy though. |

Wrong!Wings is not out of business. I'm there all the time. in fact we are running a sponsorship program if anyone is interested. I never used the others guys listed... so i have nothing to say about them, even though i have heard some stories. But at the end of the day, can you really trust 'a story'? dont always buy into the negative hype. I only go by my own experiences which is only fair. |
