So, where in/on your car did you spend your first hard-earned $$ on, other than repairs -- or where do you plan on spending it first?

Well...I had to go "other" even though I don't have it done yet, the first mod I am going to do, is the engine swap.

The first thing i did was My B&M short shift, the Apex'i N1 Dual. I ordered it all at the same time though, along with springs and shocks, but those are not in yet. So I guess I did a bit of everything at once.

So you would buy intake and headers after your engine swap?

it would depend on which car... since the first mod on my S13 was exhaust.... the first mod on my S14 was suspension.
I guess I could go with "other", since the stereo was really the first thing i replaced in both cars.... I don't call it a mod, but i guess it counts.

Before you start on mods, make sure the car is running good. No sense in putting more load on your motor/chassis, when your ride is running like shit. Get it tuned up; learn how it runs when everything is a-ok. For me, it was shocks/springs. Most of our cars have warn out suspension pieces because of the age, so it makes sense to replace these anyways. What good is horsepower when you can't control it? Ciao.

I'm going to be the only one that did their brakes, not as maintenance, aren't I?
Actually, I ordered brakes and an STB the same day, but the STB took 2.5 weeks to get to me, the brakes 4 days. That's what happens when you put your car on a track after 3 weeks of ownership |

That's Useless... Do some engine work before getting the body kit. Cuase veilside Kits are...4 FUCKING GRAND. so your gonna have a 240 with stock paint, and a bodykit, and no engine work and its gonna be ugly, and everyones gonna laugh at you for making it look riceish... Do some engine work first...or if u wanna do Silvia conversion...get the sr20 first, with some power mods...and THEN the body kit.

first "mod":
Out: Michelin XGTVRQZPL4 All-Season Chocolate Frosted Donuts (with advanced Bald Tread Technology) In: Yokohama AVS Intermediate I say it counts as a mod... they did a heck of a lot more for the car's ultimate performance than a shiny strut brace, and they do exceed OEM tire specifications. So it's rims/rubber for me, then, even though they're mounted to the stock steel wheels. |

first mod was SR20DET baby. Then came the goodies to make it go faster. Next up is FMIC and "fun with suspension".
To X- Do some research before you say stupid shit. It helps keep the BS level down on the forum
