TD's 3rd Annual Jingle-Bell DRIFT!
...is right around the corner! December 19/20 Saturday & Sunday, ThunderDrift will be holding a fulltrack drift event at Thunderhill Raceway! This year's event WILL feature a Sunday-Comp as usual, but it'll be in a very unique and new format. BOTH DAYS WILL BE RUN IN OPEN-TRACK FORMAT! This means standard TD classifications. Beginner Drift, Expert Drift, and Grip. HERE'S HOW THE COMP'S GOING TO WORK... (read this, it's gonna blow your mind) Sunday's comp will be like no other drift event you've ever been to. Drivers will make FULL LAPS of the track. No sitting in line waiting to be judged individually on 2-3 specific corners. EXPERT DRIFT will be the competiton session, and the beginner drift/grip sessions will be held as normal. for 3 of the 5 expert group sessions, we will place judges in a different corner of the track. Drivers will lap the track like they would normally, but with special focus on the judged corners. Judging will NOT be in the standard number-based points layout, it'll be awards based. This means, come day's end there'll be no 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, just awesome awards like "best e-brake entry" "fastest drift" etc. sounds pretty cool huh? it WILL BE! you know what else will be really cool? DRIFTER SECRET SANTA!!! Here are the details on the secret santa deal... Regular registration closes at the normal time (12/17 MIDNIGHT) To be a part of the secret santa deal, you've gotta register by SUNDAY DECEMBER 13TH. (we need all the names so we can assign everyone their santas ) We ask that nobody spend more than $40 on eachother (not like you would anyway hehehe...) and if you're getting something car-specific, make sure you know what your secret santa drives!!! We'll be exchanging gifts after the event on Saturday evening. REGISTER TO DRIVE AT ThunderDrift.com ~ THE NorCal Driftspot » Register Entry fee is $180 per driver, per day (PRE REGISTERED) If you don't register, you can still drive, but it'll be $200. IF YOU'RE PARTICIPATING IN THE SECRET SANTA DEAL, ENTRY FEE IS $170! (just be sure to note that on your pre-registration form) All non-drivers = $10 at the gate Esteemed Judges include the legendary Al Lagura, professional drifter Conrad Grunewald, and the man who spearheaded the freestyle-competition concept, Xander Newell! Prizes TBA! any questions? good! then saddle up your one-horse open drift-sleigh, and head on up to Thunderhill Raceway for some christmas fun! okay... if you do actually have questions, post them here, email [email protected], or call 530.559.2554. |

hahah thanks for the kind words... don't worry about josh, he's a TD regular just talkin smack... I seem to remember him saying something recently to me along the lines of "omg dude, seriously, omg. thunderhill has changed drifting for me entirely. I've never been able to drift at that kind of speed around those kinds of turns before in my life. thanks, and I love you"

this is a world class 3 mile road course. It has been said by professional drifter Calvin Wan that it is the best track to drift on the west coast. the front side, backside, turn 1, elevation changes, it is the most fun you can have. I would rather drift at Thunderhill over any track I have ever been on.
This track is all 3rd and 4th gear. it is all linkable, and has a great nightlife for camping. +1000393903090 for Geoff, and THunderdrift. You guys may not know geoff, but his dedication and love of drifting is what makes these events possible. +x3 of the above.
