Best "low" rails for S13?
Searched around and all I found is that it's common for most rails on sidemount seats to put the seat off center from the wheel.
Is there any general consensus on the rails that can go the lowest, are most centered, and don't flex on one side(single sided slider lock)? Also any feasible mods to do to brackets to get them centered? |

general consensus says bride FG are the best.
i have a buddy club super low down race spec rail and i dont really see how the bride one can be any better, its low, its sturdy, i have no complaints whatsoever, i think if it were any lower i think you might have trouble bolting a seat in there lol. oh yea, and they are very centered. |

Yea, I saw that pic in my search. Maybe I'm just dense, but without the rails in front of me I can't tell what you modified.
What's the thought on NAMS rails? Not as good? |

Yeah
Bride FG If it aint broke don't fix it They work well for S13/14 in all categories (low down, dual locking, etc) The offset center thing is not a big deal Bride addresses it http://www.tees-usa.com/seatrail_LowMax.html They say it offsets 15mm towards the door side I never really noticed it myself until someone mentioned it Quote:
Version 1 - single side locking, advantage is their slider adjustment and slider style was "OEM" so it slides more smoothly than other aftermarket sliders Version 2 - dual side locking, these are very similar to Bride FG in terms of construction and slider style Only downside is that Nagisa Ver II's are slightly more expensive than Bride FG's Which is why I just say get Bride FG Another thing is STOCK If you find a Bride FG in stock, or you know you need a seat rail, get it AHEAD OF TIME FG is always hard to stay in stock and hard to get, so the legit dealers that stock it get it through them

These are how mine looked, had the weird shaped brackets.
Did you buy the BC rails new? Has to be custom brackets, cause all the BC rails I've seen online have the same brackets as mine. Unless, they made new versions. |

I've got the Nagisa V1, single lock. It's the first racing seat/rail I've ever had in a car, but it works fine for me. It seems very centered in regards to the steering wheel.

I've got the Nagisa V1, single lock. It works fine for me, but then again this is my first racing seat. In regards to it being centered with the steering wheel, it's fine. I don't think it's off at all. Also it has the L mounting brackets, and the seat sits pretty low.
All and all, no complaints. - Nick I'm a retard, sorry for the double post. First one wasn't showing up.

I've had both Bride and the Nagisa...
I prefer Bride. I got rid of my Bride to get a Nagisa, then I went back to Bride and sold my Nagisa.

I love my Bride FG's.
It actually sat the seat low enough for me to clear with a helmet, which i thought was amazing, because i've always had a hard time getting room to clear with all the brackets i've tried. ![]() ![]()

those plates that have the ubber thick welds on them were added in on both sides of the seat. This shoved the seat more over to the center, and dead on with the steering wheel. Its easier on a bottom mount seat, but with a little thinking, can be done on a side mount as well.

I have a set of Wisteria rails.
On the lowest setting you have to take out the carpet, or else the seat can't move. Good luck finding them if you don't live in Japan though... |

Ok... So I bought some super pimp Bride FG rails because I didn't feel like fabbing up stuff... and they simply don't work with the seat I have.
Has anybody gotten these things to work with a Recaro Pole Position? It seems it was designed for a narrower "JDM" type seat without any side padding like the one I have for my passenger side. The Recaro is about 0.75" wider, and it doesn't seem possible to get these rails to work with it. I've grinded on the brackets and gained about 1/4", but it's still not looking like it'll fit. I can raise the seat all the way up and possibly get them to bolt up to the car, but at that point... I don't know why I'd bother. And can someone explain why they leave OVER an inch of space between the innermost rail and the trans tunnel once bolted up? It seems almost too stupid easy to move the slider over almost an inch towards the trans tunnel when making these rails. I'll post some pics after I get some food. It's probably 100 degrees in my garage today and the Miller Lite isn't making it feel any cooler... bleh |

I'm wondering if the Nagisa D-Lock rails will work for you, Def.
I just bought some, and it looks like they might work with wider seats, and also let you move them over, since the mounting brackets have a pretty wide slot on them... not sure if the FG also has wide slots, though (didn't look like it from the pics I've seen). You could probably invert them, too, so you might have some options if you can get creative. I'm glad I can fit in an SPG. ![]() Here's what I'm talking about: |

I have a 30" waist, so I can fit into any of the smaller seats as well, I just got a ridiculously good deal on this Pole Position from my friend. It's not big of a seat, the padding still touches my hips, but it can fit someone with a 34" waist since it does have some padding.
It seems like it's a bit wider than the average non-FIA cert. seat, which I'm guessing is what these rails are designed around(i.e. Bride's overpriced non-cert seats). |

Just mounted my fx1 pro w/ BC rails. yea bc sucks.. i sit higher on the lowest setting than my bottom mount bride knock offs with bride rails. not sure if bc rails are made only for bc seats but i barely have any headroom and im 5' 11". there's a lot of room under the seat to go lower too. looks like i need to make some L brackets to make it work right....

Bride FG rails will sit you on the floor. Ask anyone who has sat in my car.
