Takahiro Ueno sliding a BMW?
For the '09 season it looks like Ueno will be driving a 2JZ powered BMW 335i. Here's the article:
It looks like veteran D1GP driver and Vertex shacho Takahiro Ueno will be saying goodbye to his iconic red Soarer following the end of the 2008 D1 season. According to a press release from Vertex USA, Ueno will be retiring his beloved Soarer and switching to an all new BMW 335i coupe which will be powered by none other than a Toyota 2JZGTE engine. The new Bimmer is currently being built at T&E in Japan, and judging by the teaser photo it looks to be coming along quite well. I would imagine that the car should be debuting some time around Tokyo Auto Salon in January. I can't wait to see what the finished product will look like.

Auto Week already posted a picture from the Tokyo Auto Salon tuner show and small info about the car in the January 26, 2009 issue.
http://www.autoweek.com/apps/pbcs.dl...arams=Itemnr=2 Why even buy the M3 when your gunna strip everything out. They could of just used a 328 since they planned to swap the motor out anyway. Guess it doesnt matter when you got deep pockets and it would sound cooler when you say you drift a m3.

Yeah I saw the blue S14 drift once at Irwindale.
Sucked total ass. Look cool sitting, but drifting at Irwindale it was scraping so much. Like almost two years ago now. |

pretty sure he never got the bugs sorted out in that s14 and shortly after stopped being a Falken driver so its probably sitting somewhere. He has other cars in japan that are lower thanm that that drift al the time.

He's still ballin it in a BMW......
The states do need to see some BMW's slidin around, the BMW is almost as big as the s chassis in europe and australia. this thread needs a new topic NATS GT-K No this is not a picture of a GT-R taken at a strange angle. This is the GT-K, built by the students at the Japanese Automobile College. The base car is a Suzuki Cappuccino, one of the most popular Kei-cars (hence the name) of the 1990s. This is the perfect ride if you can't afford the sticker price of the GT-R, and on top of being cheap and unique it is also a convertible.

I want to start an FD team. We'll suck really bad and we'll always be last, but we will get the most media coverage because of our crazy antics in our coolest-looking car. |
