There's a reason the FXD car owns several overall lap records. No to mention it attracts more attention then any of the other cars besides maybe an FD.

So the fact that it breaks necks and it out handles all these cars isn't super car status? Maybe in your book, but in a lot of other people's opinions... that's really all the matters. I haven't seen a "supercar" reach supercar status just because of it's straight line power and speed. Other than maybe a C6 ZR1? Supercar's usually have a taste of well balanced performance... not chassis debilitating power like a Koenigsegg CCX. The truth is, it does have extreme amounts of racing technology from the holy grail of all technologically advanced racing series. Ayrton Senna himself gave input to the engineers at Honda of how the car handled and the chassis felt with the powerband it was given. It is the first production car to use exotic materials. Not only in the chassis, but in the engine as well. So because it is a balanced platform that provides an amazing driving experience that is on par with some of the most expensive cars on the planet at the time (and some of the current cars of our time). Using materials that are STILL rarely found in today's supercars and exotics. And 20 years later it is STILL drawing a crowd when it shows up to cars and coffee on Saturday mornings.. You're going to tell me it doesn't deserve the "legendary" descriptions and comments people are making? ...right. |

"Look guys, I made a steering wheel out of pure platinum!" "...How is it better than a normal steering wheel?" "PLATINUM." All that said, I've at no point stated the NSX is a bad car, or that any particular other car was better. It's just not a supercar. An awesome yet overpriced sports car, yes. Supercar, no.
