Because the last Beta did not let my phone upgrade. I was not alone in this quirk either. Quite a few people showed up at the Apple store with the same issue.
When Gold Master hit you were supposed to be able to plug your phone into Itunes and it would tell you Gold Master was out. That did not happen with my phone. All it did say was my Iphone was up to date on IOS 7. Plus the last Beta did not let my phone shut down. I had to do a hard reset and restore which wiped the phone to correct this whole issue. Luckily I had backed up my Data last month so after all of that and updating my Itunes I was able to reload my data. I just figured I would put it out there in case anyone else had the problem as quite a few people were showing up with the problem.

Once you update your iTunes, it will prompt you to update your phone.
