I bought an S14 with a KA-t. It has a tuned s13 ecu for Z32 and 370cc injectors, runs out good, but the speedo doesnt work. It has the S14 ka trans but no matter what vss i use on the tranny the speedo doesnt work. does it matter what VSS i use with the s13 ecu?

It goes from Vss to speedo. Then output to ecu. So ecu doesn't matter.

S13 Vss needs s13 cluster. S14 goes to s14.. Simple

I am having the same problem now. Tried a couple sensors and clusters with no luck. From what I've read usually cluster will go out before the actual sensor. Your wiring may be an issue too.

It's 2 wires, polarity doesn't matter. Try and hardware it..
