a shortblock is usually just the block itself with internals assembled. a longblock is generally the short block with the heads and maybe [a] cam/s.
this should cover every motor from the KA's to a 302's. |

yah dont confuse it with that, I always confused big/small with short/long for the longest time till i asked someone.

small block ford = 302
small block chevy = 350 big block ford = 351 big block chevy = 454 it just depends on the company. long block and small block are terms for what's pre-assembled. longblock = shortblock = |
