Turbo Timer Hook Up Question
I have a 1990 Nissan 240sx with the Ka24e and was wondering what wires to hook the turbo timer up to. I couldn't seem to find this anywhere in the seach. Well anyway I've installed a turbo timer in a 96 maxima but never a 240sx. I got this turbo timer off e-bay (eBay Motors: Universal electronic Auto Turbo Timer Timers S13 Silvia (item 260299984237 end time Oct-23-08 11:01:32 PDT)) and was wondering if anyone knows what color the wires are under the dash to hook it up to? I'll probably understand this one a lot better when I get it but for now I just wanted to know what color the 12v constant, ignition 1 and ignition 2 wires are? I promise if someone tells me I'll do a write up of this install, the safc and the grounding kit install on my ka and later on my motor rebuild and turbo install write ups so no one bugs you guys on sohc questions anymore LoL. Thanks in advance.

FRSport Turbo Timer Harness
I installed my turbo timer with the harness from frsport. I'm not sure if it's a just a 89/90 or an 89 to 94 problem with their harnesses but the clip on the one side wouldn't fit at all. So I ended up having to snap it off. So I got that hooked up really snug and I wired up the turbo timer but it's not coming on. I took the grey wire (e-brake) and connected it to the bolt for the e-brake where the yellow wire is(that's where the e-brake wire is supposed to go, right?). Then I wired the black wire (ground) ground to the cigarette lighter but no power so tomorrow I'm going to try the radio ground see if that helps or should I just ground it to the shifter boot? Thanks in advance.

The ignition harness has 5 wires: constant, acc, ign, an 2 starter wires. See thread for info. |

For testing purposes you can just ground the grey wire and see if the timer works. Then you can hook up the grey wire later. Quote:
You can connect to any good ground. |

I plugged the harness I got into the ignition harness. It fit easily. It's the only wire I found under the dash that was the same plug configuration. The left side clicked in perfectly but the right one the prongs wouldn't fit so I was forced to snap them off to get it to fit inside (The female plug on the harness). Here's the one I got : Turbo Timer Harness S13 S14 FR Sport. The cigarette lighter ground was readily available right next to the handbrake wire. That could not be active without something plugged in or something I was thinking though. I blew a fuel line in the back so I'm going to put this on hold til I fix that. Somebody wrote that it wasn't wired right for his car so maybe that's the problem. I'm going to go through all the wires with a multimeter and double check.
