Voltage Question need advice!
Ok so my car has been sitting for a couple of months and i just got it going again. I replaced the battery with an optima yellow top and that seems to be working great. But my voltage gauge is reading around low 11's with the car is off and when the car is running and on it will read low 12's. So my question to you guys is, is this normal or should i be reading more volts than this and could this be a sign that my alternator is going out. Also what is the normal volt reading for an s13 redtop sr20det?

Yeah that is a little low with the car on... Should be about 13.2 ish if I remember.. Talk to codyace... he has a alternator and bracket made from a nissan minivan so that it outputs more voltage. She help with your troubles.... Alternators aren't made to go like 20 years in cold and wet conditions especially when SR motors been sitting in shipyards.

Start the car, pull the ground terminal off the battery while the car is running...
Quickest alt check in the books for older makes
