Answer found: vtc solenoid connection '91 TT z32 (manual if that matters), 2 wire plug (one green, one black iirc) on the passenger side. I thought it might be the knock sensor harness plug, but I got a 240sx knock subharness (are they different?), and the subharness plug was too small. Can't find anywhere to plug this guy into.
