do you own homework. dont expect to get spoon fed.
cxracing= it works, quality not the best, but it works and I plan to get the t3/t4 kit. t3/t4 vs gt35? its like saying s13 or s14? budget and drifter dont mix. either you have the money or you dont. Do it right or dont do it at all. or half-ass it and do it twice. |

Agreed. Im in the process of going KA-T. I looked around at different set-ups and basically took what i liked alot from different set-ups and put them together to get my set-up. Keep in mind I do not plan on making crazy hp just something around 250whp which is more than enough for me. I dont regret buying certain parts used and major parts new, just use your brain and dont rush anything. If you need help parting together your own kit pm me.

Don't buy a kit. Piece together things that you need. Go to KA-T.org... Read there for a couple months before going KA-T. It'll save you a lot of time and money.
so... go to KA-T.org - The Home of 1000+ whp/7 sec Turbo KA's <--- and do some research. |

Really depends on your power goals and access to certain things like fab work and others. If your looking to make 200-350whp with limited access for custom work then I would go for the bottom mount turbo setup for this will allow you to use existing aftermarket SR parts with less to none fab work involve. While top mount are great for more turbo selection in the future this require some custom work in regards to IC piping, downpipe and others. Tell us your power goal, Is the car being built for street/drift /drag and $$$ budget. I would personally wouldn't not rock any CX-Racing turbo kits but I will use their other products. Turbos,Internals, and other critical components are the ones you would want quality parts.. GL!

Well mainly drifting but DD. there really isn't much choices of a 91 ka24de out there. I've talked to alot of people but they said "just do an SR swap. I would but its over rated to me. I want to try something different i guess. But can somebody help me with a good setup that wont break the bank? At most 3.5-4k for everything. There really isn't any choices in Hawaii.. Thanks

Spend the next 6 months reading on KA-T.org - The Home of 1000+ whp/7 sec Turbo KA's CXracing is ok if you are looking for a simple 100hp gain bolt on kit that might break.
If you want something that lasts, pickup someones used manifold. One of the guys that had 800+hp was selling his manifold for like $650 like 6 months ago. Thats a deal BTW. The most important part of building a turbo engine is Engine Management and being able to read your Air/fuel mixture. AFR is important! Don't cheap out here. Vipec, Motec, Haltec, etc Cheers!

Hes right ^ ka-t.org has loads of good info including hp recipe check this out- www.ka-t.org :: View topic - Sticky: DOHC Turbo For Dummies . what kinda money are looking to spend? you can easily achieve a fun car off of a srt25. If I were you Id spend time piecing together a kit of quality parts. Cxracing isnt a horrible company but Im not sure if id use their turbo or manifold. I personally have their fmic and piping on my kat and works great but manifold and turbo id source somewhere else
