if at most your going to need to swap the internals from the diff out of the housing into the 3z diff. you will also need 3z output shafts

So you are asking if the "pumpkin" of the diff will fit in the rear subframe? Of course. As far as the output shafts, you might need custom ones....

Why are you swapping these anyways!!!?????

The pumpkin will bolt right in, but you will need 5-bolt output shafts (which I don't think came on open diffs so have fun finding some) and your gear ratio will be way off. DON'T do it!!!

Why would the gear ratio be off? I thought all r200 diff's (240's and na 300zx's) had a 4.08 FD?

Kind of on the same topic. Would an aftermarket lsd for a 240 fit in a 300zx NA pumpkin? Kaaz shows different part numbers for a vlsd equipped 240 and na Z, but if they are both r200 with vlsd why wouldn't it work?

Not all R200's are the same. I used to think so as well. I opted for the S14 VLSD rather than the J30 due to the different final drive gearing. Your Z32 is way taller of a final drive than any J30 or S chassis that i've seen (stock).

If you want something stock Nissan that is even higher of a final drive go for the Diff from the TT Z32, not an R200 though.

I keep trying to ask the same question WHY DO YOU WANT TO SWAP ANYTHING!!!??? If you own a Z, buy Z parts? Or are the S chassis parts that much cheaper??
