My friend has the Si Sedan. I think it is a very nice car and is super easy but still fun to drive. Perfect as a daily commuter.
I would choose the Sedan over the coupe hands down. I think the 4 door looks better. Both are cool I suppose though.

Sedan for sure.
Just a lot easier to haul junk around. Good luck if you can find a new Si though. If you need to get a used Si, be sure to get a 08 model or later. Prior years had a lot of transmussion issues. Had a 08 Si sedan for about a year & loved it |

I own an 06 coupe only because when I bought It sedan wasn't out yet. I had a lot of issues with it specially trany and interior. Third geAr was popping, 2nd gear grinding and the plastic interior clips was coming off, etc.. I should've waited for the sedan. But it's 60 something lbs. lighter than sedan and back then there was more after market parts available for coupe. That was four years ago. Everything is different now as far after market parts and tranny issues. If I were to buy an si today I would get a red one and do a jdm mugen RR conversion.

i daily drove a 07 coupe for half of last year. the ergonomics/driving position are kinda weird and take a while to get used to. i'm 6' 185lbs... the drivers side a-pilar always seemed to be in your line of sight, maybe the sedan would be better?

Oh about the HFP,
honda sells an awesome HFP suspension for about $500 it really helps a lot as even the Si suspension is a little soft imo. Also get some front camber bolts to dial in a bit neg camber. First time i took my Si to autoX, i pretty much destroyed my new front tires. The suspension arms on the civic offer little if any adjustability. Otherwise its pretty much track ready from the factory. Oh also i think a site called 8thgencivic or something like that is a good enthusiast resource. This is a good car. I would totally pick another myself if not for financial constraints. |

Maybe the coupe is different, but i loved my Si sedan. Im close to your build, 6' @ 160. The seats were just super comfy and worked great at track events. I prefer them over the Recaros in my evo tbh. Ppl either love the corny sci-fi themed interior dash or hate it. I like the fact that the speedometer is so effortless to read. If i had to complain, its not that comfy for road trips & sleeping. |
