Cruise Control as Launch control switch
Has anyone used old cruise control on/off switch as a launch control on/off switch? Ive heard people doing this using their JWT ECU for s13 SR.

Well my tuner recommended it. My problem is that I got a base model that was originally Automatich without cruise control.

Nistune has this in their Feature Pack. I haven't installed the board yet, but going over the instructions it looks like you wire the clutch switch to the powering steering sensor pin on the ecu. The tune then uses that switch to trigger 2-step instead of the stock behavior of bumping idle when turning at slow speeds.
My G35 with Uprev ARC features uses the clutch switch for the same thing: launch control and no-lift shifts. No wiring changes needed since the ECU handles cruise control on newer cars and not a separate module. |
