Sounds like CAS 180 out or the ECU (tuned ecu's are sketchy sometimes IMO).

it appears that way. ill check out my coil packs and wiring. but it is all the same that came out of my car that was running perfectly a month ago before the upgrades.


can you give me a little more detail on how it could actually be 180 off? i just can't really picture how it could go in upside down when the dots line up?

edit: just saw that your in greensboro so you are more than welcome to come take a look at it if you want.

how do you put the CAS in? by setting the engine, and cams to TDC? and then lining everything up and doing it that way?

yep engine and cams at TDC then line up the marks on the cas put it in and it turns to line up with the painted dot.

After disassembling my harness and pretty much re-doing every solder joint and heat shrinking it with double wall adhesive hs, checking for breaks and fixing anything else that looked mickey mouse. The harness is a bit cleaner now, anything that was removed was "REMOVED" from the wiring.

Car so far is running great and a lot stronger now.

I would suggest a harness issue.

its possible. im going to try to get some troubleshooting done tonight. ill keep you guys informed on what i find out. if anyone has any other ideas post up. im making a little list of things to check.

well took off the valve cover tonight to check things out and my timing chain tensioner is broken... so the motor has to come back out to fix that and check it out to make sure it didn't tear up anything else.. also i am going to go ahead and get an adjustable fpr. which ones should i look at or stay away from?

just go ahead and get an aeromotive. Super safe and whatnot. (that's my personally opinion)

and the tensioner, thats not good, might have thrown the timing off as well, so I'm crossing my fingers.

yea i've got my fingers crossed to.. what sucks is i don't have any time to pull it back out till next week. so the chance of me driving on the 17th is looking slim.. and i've been looking at the aeromotives.. just looked at enjuku though and the isis looks identical to it. anyone have any experience with that one?

i promise an update is coming just have to find some time to sit down and write one and upload pics..

but i am getting the car aligned in a few days and really need everyones help with specs. i dont really have a clue what i should run. i should be making around 315 at the moment and have all adjustable suspension. also strictly looking for a drift alignment since i almost never drive this on the street anymore. any help with specs would be great.

well its about time i update this.



got the motor ready to be pulled

head off and sent to the machine shop.




rolled the car outside to clean up the engine bay.




GT2871R on the left and s14 t28 on the right



2871r on the right




painted the valve cover bright green. aeromotive fpr, isis tension and toe rods. ikeya formula inner tie rods.



and put it all back together. sorry no in progress pics.







then a couple days after getting it running we took it out to a streetwise drift am comp and i placed 3rd.




here is a list of what all was done.

divided turbo elbow
nismo 740cc injectors
z32 maf
aeromotive fpr
spec stage 3 6 puck sprung clutch
bc valve springs and retainers
arp headstuds
all new gaskets
enthalpy tuned ecu
still on stock cams but that should be changing soon.

i dont kno if anyone mentioned it to you but the blue leds are bad for your eyes.. seriously plus it looks stupid... get bmw orange or something along those lines... also the pink harness and green cookie cutter wheels are kinda gayish otherwise good job

gripterror. no one has mentioned that but i wont be taking the cluster out to change the lights anytime soon plus i like the blue... not to mention this is a track, i dont even remember the last time i drove it at night.. and the wheels are drift spares...

finally have an update for you guys.

slowly working on getting my car up to pro am spec.

i started with a sabelt racer duo fia approved seat.









then i got started on changing up the look of the car a little bit.


so i picked up these.



and these.



then pulled the car apart.




started putting it on.
