dual cam pistons in a single cam?
hello all! i had an idea to put these wiseco forged pistons for a dual cam into a single cam. i have searched around and have only found info about swapping single cam pistons into dual cam motors to raise the compression. the piston specs are 89.5 bore and 9.0:1 compression ratio. how would this affect the compression ratio in a single cam motor? if this is a possibility i would go turbo.
my car is an 89. not sure if it is 8.6:1 or 9.1:1. i can check manufacture date next time i drive it. any feedback on this is appreciated! |

A 7:1 CR motor would be the laziest thing you'd ever drive in your life. Why not just put single cam pistons in it and run 9:1 comp? With a good tune that's not dangerous or anything, even on 91..
