s14 removing abs system, use non-abs hard lines?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I just finished removing my abs system out of my s14. I am swapping the front brakes over to 30mm 300zx set up and i was wondering if i needed to get Non-ABS hardlines for the S14 in order for it to work properly with the 300zx MBC? Just to clarify, i am not concerned about the 300zx master cylinder, i know it will work either way, i am concerned about the ABS vs NON-ABS hardlines and if i need to buy the non-abs hardlines to completely remove the system?

I have searched around and it seems that i will need the hardlines that run inside the engine bay (2 for the the fronts and 1 for the rear which "t's" off for the rear) I just want to make sure i do need the lines before i go out and buy them if they are not needed.

There are a lot of problems with your question.

What exactly was removed? The ABS module? All the lines? The entire brake system?

Let's think about this. The ABS master cylinder has 2 brake lines going to the ABS module. The non-ABS master cylinder has 3 brake lines going straight to the front and rear calipers.

What do you think?

Then why did you feel the need to include this information?

You need all the brake lines from a non-ABS car.

well i removed the ABS Module/Unit at this moment and will be removing the hardlines this weekend. Someone informed that the non-abs hardlines do not run across the engine bay like the abs model does. This would make sense since the harlines go from the brake setup directly to the MBC. The MBC does have the 3 lines but the middle one gets plugged up anyway according to ImportNut. I have all of the hardlines from a Non-abs car now so I am pretty sure all i need is the 300zx MBC. I have stainless steel brake lines up front and rear.

If anyone has done the abs ----> non-abs conversion please chime in.

You will not get a CEL you get a ABS light instead. Just pull the bulb.
I can chime in on this a little...My buddy recently did his S14. His build can be seen here. Mestiso's Daily S14
I recomend getting the hard lines either from Nissan or from the wrecker. I believe they are pretty inexpensive through Nissan. The clips that hold the ABS line vrs non ABS are different, but that is not a big deal.

Another alternative is to use custom braided brake lines like I have.
