Hey guys. I just recently swapped in a SR20 blacktop in a s13 fastback and when im driving regularly, I sometimes put it on neutral to drop the rpm as I pass by cops or in neighborhoods(don't ask why).... So the question is, why does the engine shut off when I drop the rpm while in neutral? Could it be how my throttle line is positioned?

idk bout what your problem is, but instead of putting it in neutral, just push in the clutch and stroll by.

depending on what your going to do with the car i would get the auto if its going to be beat on a lot, if its a daily driver i'd offer the other guy 6000-6500.

one quick question i have a set of silkroad rma8 coilovers but it does not show which direction is which for adjusting the softness and stiffness, so say you have the logo facing you which way is which? btw have not put on yet so i cant test it out myself

Well whatever you do DO NOT mess around with them! I would find out first. I have Tein HE's and I clicked ALL the way counter-clockwise to start with the softness. I meet one of the Tein workers and asked him and he said to start with it FULLY clockwise from for the stiffest setting and then go 16 clicks counter-clockwise for the softest setting. The rest of it is for when they re-damp your coilovers.

Quick question: Is it really necessary to balance your tires for the rear when going drifting? I have always balanced them but is it necessary....

i never balanced my drift wheels. i did have a wheel bearing fuck up on me though. dunno whether or not the non-balanced wheels played a factor in that, but it very well could have.

I didnt know where to ask this- searched, but its a pretty specific question so I didn't expect a definitive answer, but anyway- here goes.

I'm looking to buy an s14, and came across this:

1995 240sx SE.
all power options
5 speed
Apex'i WS coilovers, Tanabe Racing Medallion cat-back exhaust, short shifter, cone filter)
207,xxx km's and has no accidents.

He sent pics of interior (mint), and exterior- actually pretty clean as well. ASKING PRICE IS 3000 (canadian)

should I go for it? is this a good deal? stuff I should know? its going to be a DD + project car.

edit: also, this will be my first nissan s chassis car. Is there a link to a sort of 'buyers-guide', or shit noobs should know thread before they get into buying one of these. Thanks.

18x9.5 +24 all around.

Stock body s14, no roll, no pull. Lowered about an inch, if that.

I like the fat ass tire look. Can I go any bigger than 255 out back? How about the front?

Would anyone happen to know if the sections of old school S13 two-piece exhausts were made to be interchangeable/universal?
I am talking about the exhausts that are split right before the rear muffler, such as the Legalis, Kakimoto, Nismo, or even the RS-R exhaust.
For example, would a Kakimoto rear muffler bolted to a Nismo front section align perfectly the way it is supposed to?
Thanks for any info.

Legalis

Kakimoto

Nismo

RS-R
