How often to change fluids?

For a stock car besides z32 front brakes that gets mostly city driving on it how often is it recommended to change fluids: brake, clutch, transmission, vlsd diff, AC free-on, antifreeze?

Check your FSM for recommended service intervals. Especially between Normal, and Severe schedules

also depending on your region, you will have to change fluids more often or less frequent.

Just change fluids before they get too dirty.
Don't forget power steering.
Also READ the FSM, you don't wanna use power steering fluid for the power steering, lol.

well, i had been doing transmission fluid every 60K according to the fsm but after the second time they said there was a lot of metallic shavings that came out of the transmission when they dumped the fluid. Thats when I got a new transmission because they said the bearings were bad and he told me to replace the fluid every 30K. I don't think the fsm says when to replace some of the fluids such as brake and clutch fluid. It just says inspect every so many miles so thats why i ask. For fluids I plan on using amsoil GL4 75w90 for the tranny and for the diff probably amsoil sever gear ep 75W90. I know the fsm says to use dot 3 for brake and clutch fluid. I have used valvoline synthetic dot 4 or 5 for the brakes so should I continue using that or is it possible to switch back to dot 3 (which I assume is not synthetic) for the brakes?

gah im barely finding out not to use power steering fluid lol, looks like im going to flush and put in ATF.

just change everything and don't worry about it for the rest of the time you're going to own the car. no telling when and what the previous owners did.

what is the benefit of using atf instead of regular power steering fluid?

For trans go with 30k
Brake and clutch ideally once a year
Dont use Valvoline its crap use Castrol instead

Unfortunately, California is overrun with Valvocrap and I can't even find my favorite Penzoil Syntecs anymore.

No benifit, its nearly the fact that our cars are meant to use ATF not PS fluid

Exactly. I forgot about his a while back and put PS fluid in. My pump whined quite loudly until I flushed it and put ATF in. From what I understand, it can fuck up your power steering system
