custom intake help.

hey im making a homemade thing to bring air from outside directly the intake. temporarily im using a dryer hose until i see if its worth spending money on a Billion air duct and air funnel thing.

Billion air funnel and insulated duct:

im going to cut a hole in the sheet metal under where the intake filter and run the duct pipe from the intake to right under the bumper. im debating cutting a hole in my bumper because it would be a bit ugly.

my questions are:

is it safe to use a dryer pipe for a while?

and will the pipe get enough air if it is mounted under the bumper and no on the outside? (option 2)

will the intake get enough air if the duct pipe doesnt seal over the intake pipe? is it worth it to seal the pipe over the intake (option 3 below))

my options:

(feel free to laugh at my diagram)
