any s2k owners with decent wheel fitment?
so i was bored and started browsing s2ki.com
went to their wheel fitment guide and their offsets are ridiculously high.. they say to fit a 10" wheel in the rear of a s2000, the offset would have to be a minimum of +65... why is it that s2k's need such high offsets? can these problems be fixed the same way we fit wide/low offset wheels on s-chassis cars? stretched tires, camber, fender modification? anyways... i'm just bored and looking to strike up some interesting conversation...

Well, I have an S2000 but have not started in looking in aftermarket wheels, yet.
I suspect the offset is mainly due to the double wishbone design that fits within the wheel almost. "crazy" s2k offsets are in the +40 range. You can fit 10" in the back, with rolling and stretched tires... Check the for sale section on s2ki, tons of aftermarket wheels for sale there.

no offense but its a honda. Not many honda guys i know are into doing that. s2k guys i know are all happy with 8jj wheels and shit. Plus the rotors alone are about as flush as our stock wheels fit. you could throw on some +30s and prob have to roll and stretch or some shit. haha.

Yeah seriously, I own a bone stock 02' so I'll try to show you the "best" of s2ki.com. The "INSANE!!!" offset range is like 30-45, no one is willing to go low enough to look nice, not many are even willing to roll, most people get get the ASM rear overfenders usually don't need it. s2k owners are usually prissy, behind the times, and are NOT OPEN MINDED to wheel fitment(and a number of other stuff).
There's a couple more with pretty nice fitment, lemme try to find them Ugh, this is the only picture I can find.

Yeah, some S2K owner are fussy and don't want to mess their car up. For example, me, I don't want to mod the car. I may speak for myself, but when you have a stock car that has decent power and handles well, you don't feel the need to mod the car anymore...

i like how offset is the new e-penis measurement. who cares what the numerical offset is as long as you can cram big enough tires in there and the car hauls ass. s2ks have higher stock offsets and aren't rediculously sunken. what did you expect?

Also, Why bother about running a low offset when a high offset does look flush?

Yeah stock does just fine but, seeing some "dished" wheels does look pretty cool. Mainly for aesthetic purposes only.
If I owned an AP it would pretty much be stock like HaLo said. |

I've been looking at wheels for my 98 impreza 2.5RS and it looks like much lower than +40 ish dependent on width and I'm rubbing...after rolling the fenders. EDIT: and someone explain why high offset wheels would be lighter. lol

The hubs on the cars are just postioned farther out (more flush with the fender for you zilvia people). So anything with offsets say at +20 or lower(depending on wheel width of course) will stick out, buttttt there is one solution....widebody! (pulling fenders, flares, etc.) |

These are my buddies car's..(esp. the Red one..known him since high school) He had to roll the front fenders a little.. and i think those offsets are +38 all around.. and he's rocking pretty decent camber.. and BTW.. you should see my Boy with the red S2k take that thing sidways.. he can tandem with S chassis no problem.. |
