Need DOHC Swap help

I am swapping a dohc motor into a sohc chassis, and have ran into a problem. I cannot find a how to or any info on this one. It is a plug that is located near or underneath the relay/fuse box on the passenger wheel well. It has a four connector plug and the dohc lower engine harness has a two connector plug. Anyone else run into the problem and how did you work around it?

use a sohc lower harness..all the plugs on the tranny, starter, alternator are the same..the only difference is the plugs near the fuse box..so just use the sohc bottom harness and all plugs should be filled in..

How about a picture of the wires, or a a list of wire color so people who don't have a SOHC car siting in the driveway can tell you?

Here are pictures of the dohc lower harness connector and single cam chassis harness.

With this not connected the car does not even try to start. Does this circuit go the starter some how?

Never found out what those wire are, but car is running now. I have a single cam lower engine harness to swap in, then all plugs will match up.

dirtydave, i am using a s13 sohc lower harness, and i dont have that plug, one other thing is im swapping a sohc into a dohc, not dohc into sohc.

did your sohc lower harness plug right into that harness? and was it only that harness that was preventing your car from starting?

Haven't swapped lower harness yet, but was not getting a voltage to the starter. I have some other electrical issues going on. I had to remove the blue relay in the passenger fender, and jump a wire from its socket to the starter wire. I dont't think the plug pictured above has anything to do with it, but I could be wrong.

Is there any kind of update on this? Is a sohc lower harness required, or can you splice some of these together to make it work?
