1995 throwing code. how to figure out?
my cars been throwing a code for a few months now but i havent even registered it so havent been driving it to figure out what it was. i finally got my 5 lug and 5 speed swap done this weekend and starting driving it a little and wanted to figure out what the codes are for and try and get them fixed.
does anyone know how to get them? ive went to basic autpart stores but they only have scanners for obdII cars(which im not even sure if mine is I or II). i know i can go to a real shop but they charge 30 or 40 just for a scan so if their is a way to do it for cheaper i will. the car runs really good at ide but sometimes when im taking off it sputters a little bit and seems to have bad throttle responce. i know i have a horrible exhaust leak but im not sure thats the problem.. can anyone help. |

Any OBD scanner will work since your car is OBD-I, though it may not give you a reading, just a code number to look up online. You can also pull codes direct from the ECU by dialing it in on the reset knob. Do a search, there's plenty of info how to do it.
