NASA Pro [email protected] Infineon Raceway on Feb 10th-11th
Anyone else going?
Turdz and I are going, Kingsol might go I think. Trying to get some pansy younger ricer type kids to come along and learn some truths and feel what actual driving is like. Hoping to show them a crackerbox Volkswagen Rabbit destroying a lancer evo or something, maybe a miata killing a supra. HPDE 1 is sold out, so those that want instruction are out of luck probably. I'll be happy to give rides even though I'm pretty inexperienced. HPDE 2 is only available for Sunday, Feb 11th (thats when I'm going). HPDE 3/4 is available as far as I know. We should grab some space together. I'm mad that I sold my seat even though it wasn't the best. I want a fuckin SPG now...someone buy my Emotions |

Guess your scared everyone off with your motivational thread, Jon. LOL
Anyway, I checked the entry list and we have some cool cars to watch out for (in our group). Lotus Esprit V8 Yellow Black S2000 (2) Audi S4, both in blue and your STi friend.

Damn. Have fun guys. I wish I could go but I can't afford it. I need to rebuild my 2-way. It could of been like last year.
Jon- how do you like your 350z rotor kit? How does it compare to just z32 rotors? My bro is planning to get that kit soon.

i never had just z32 rotors, i had q45s up front
i'll post how it goes tomorrow, but with likely rain and a different tire setup than before, it won't be much of a comparison they look cool though |

Pictars:
Mostly lame trackside photos, we didn't have someone along with us dedicated to getting action shots this time, sadly. Free rides to anyone who wants to be camera man next time! New brake setup worked perfectly (after all the bullshit to get it to work), never, NEVER faded the 30mm Z32's w/ 350Z track rotors. Had semi-aggresive pads (Porterfield R4-S) and not-so-aggressive tires (Fk-451 in 235 and 245) and a competent diff (S15 hlsd) only though. They should still be more than enough for S-chassis' with more power and grip. Not a huge fan of the FK's, this was their first track event and they were giving out at the 3rd session, even though it wasn't a hot day. I was putting stress on them since I was driving more aggressively by then and I do have a stiff suspension that puts them to work, but still. Helical diff was smooth as always, little extra confidence to throttle earlier on exit. Turdz had 245 Kumho MX's all around w/ stock suspension (2-way nismo diff) and was tearing it up. I will have his tires soon. NASA events are well-run and organized, but a little too formal and crowded. Great for beginners though. |

Looks like you guys had fun. Let me know when you guys are heading out again. Maybe I'll have money by then to join you guys.
I saw Chris post about getting new suspension put in. Did he not finish it in time? David

Cool. Did you let out 2psi out of the tires after the second run? It helps the greezzy feeling go away from the tires. It looked like so much fun. I regret not being able to go. What kind of wheels do you have Jon?
