3d swap and wide body kit
Hello!
I warmly welcome all fans of sports Nissans. i'd like to share the development of my project. So what we have at the moment... S14 zenki with rb25det removed. Instead of this engine will be installed v8 VH41DE with Z33 transmission. Short list: -VH41DE -Z33 gearbox -SR20 OS Giken clutch and flywheel -350Z carbon fiber drive shaft -ets. The first task is to ideally combine the engine gearbox and clutch. For this i decided to apply 3d modelling. Naturally this idea will require many dimentions. It was decided to apply high-precision contact and laser 3D scanning of the car body, gearbox and get all the necessary clutch sizes. Let's go along the path of proper engineering) Other tasks will be sloved in parallel like: -calculation of the correct position and angle of inclination of the engine and gearbox -VH/Z33 adapter plate modelling and manufacturing -engine and gearbox mounts modelling - modelling of a new gearbox tunnel -modelling of a proper z33 gearbox shifter relocation Later VH will be turbocharged. And the cherry on the cake will be the development of the original wide body kit. Work is already underway in this direction. I hope you will be interested to watch such a serious degeneration of the car. |

The 3d scanning screams high tech cool build. but the jackstands scream the opposite.
Cool build tho, willl follow along

Some underhood works for increased steering angle. Stock look.

Modelling the alignment of the gearbox, engine and clutch to correctly position the sr20 clutch in relation to the z33 gearbox release bearing and vh41 flywheel ring, as well as to make an adapter plate.

Modeling the location of the engine and gearbox in the underhood space and the gearbox tunnel. All modeling and fitting of parts - at the computer. In the garage-only bolt on assembly.
The most important factor and plus of this technology for me is the high accuracy of the swap, taking into account all the nuances. So you can think through every detail and every weld on the body. photo_2020-07-28_20-15-10 by Den Novikov, on Flickr |
