Unhappy Independent Mechanic in Western NC or Northern SC. SOHC KA24E specialist?

I have been searching about all day looking for a independent mechanic in western NC or northern SC. I need someone who knows everything about a SOHC KA24E.

I have a 89 240sx coupe w/ KA24E + Auto.

I am having problems with the car running well. I am sick and tired of trying to chase down engine gremlins i just want to load it up on the trailer and haul it to a shop that knows a KA24E like the back of their hand.

car has 124k miles. so far I have done this:
Adjustable fuel pressure regulator
Walbro 255
NGK plugs
NGk wires

car has stainless steel header and no ERG. I want all the emissions carp taken off and whatever is wrong with the car fixed..

so if anyone knows a good independent shop I can drop this hooptie off and they will bring it back to life without totally draining my bank account.. please let me know.

I wish I just had the money to toss a LS1/T56 in it and be done with motor problems forever..

Try soliciting on Carolinanissans.com? Or ImportsNC.com? Might find better luck there.

I know this is an old thread but SOHO Motorsports in Charlotte, NC deal mainly with QV motors but they figured out my high compression KA s14 with ease. It was idling john, bogging out, wouldn't start etc. It took them all of an hour and they swapped out the plugs (fouled out) distributor was off a tooth and had some cracked vac hoses. They are very knowledgeable and I reccomend them if you haven't figured it out yet. Good luck!
