Strange Kouki S14 window problem
I recently picked up an S14 that needs restoration.
The other day I rolled the window down using the driver side switch, and then it wouldn't roll back up. I took the passenger side door apart. I noticed there were speaker wires running from the driver side window switch to the passenger side window switch... I think that's how this car was wired up to have the window roll down on the passenger side. I disconnected those wires and the window would not roll up or down. I thought maybe the motor was dead or the regulator was stuck so I swapped the window motor and regulator, and the window switch on the passenger side. It does not work unless you de-pin the harness and switch the up and down wires. I've tried my main s14 window switches interchangeably and there is no change. Has anyone experienced anything weird like this?
