I know a few officers here in Oregon, so I know without a doubt (at least here in Lane county) they record them all.

And yeah man, whats up with all those dick ass firemen!? jk/lol

i just realized you were talking about the cameras in cop cars. for some reason i thought you were saying the traffic signal cameras were recording everything, which is a coworker's conspiracy theory.

but seriously, i read this thing where these firemen kicked down the door to the wrong house and they were running around with their axes out and then they shot the family dog. house wasn't even on fire.

I read about some firemen last summer who wouldnt put out a fire in one mans home because he hadnt paid the $45 annual fee. He lost his cat and two dogs. I understand not giving out free services, but I think putting out a fire in someones home should be a no-brainer, regardless of whether or not they paid a fee.

i read that, and i mean, it's not like he just forgot to pay. without doing any checking whatsoever, i seem to recall he refused to pay the fee. i'm not saying watching his home burn was a good call, but he made his own bed etc

recording someones private life and recording a public official on the clock is very different

I want to know were my tax dollars are going and that cops are not abusing the power they have. Its awsome how the local government will fight so hard to protect crooked cops yet won't lift a finger to help the people, its pathetic...

Then send him a bill, take him to collections, but save the guys house! Its about right and wrong, you take an oath to protect the general public. In my opinion that means regardless of if they pay you up front or not.

And word sucks, I totally agree with you. I wouldnt mind if someone recorded me while I was at work, I mean, its not like Im breaking laws at work or anything.
