well first of all i was talking to a buddy of mine on AIM and he was like HOLY shit man some people just drag raced out in front of my house. So i was like sweet where were they headed and he said they were coming by my house. So i instantly signed off and im like damn i havent raced in a while im catching em. Well i found em Finally got em to pull over . He had a 5.0 stang it was supercharged and he was boosting 10 he is from Lebanon too. Some of you guys might know hime his name is Lawrence. So anyway i was like uh oh i didnt know it was you hehe. I knew he would kill me because i was told his car was an easy 11second and he could hit a high 10 if he could hook up. But i was like oh well lets run em for fun. He agreed. We went out to OLD 50 and went from a stop i couldnt hook up and i got walked on. So then he stopped and i was like lets go from a 40 punch. So we went on 3 honks. I pulled for a second then he put about a car length on me by the time we were at about 130. Anyway i was proud my car kept up with him because that thing is bad ass. Well then i picked up one of my friends and me and her were out cruing around and then we drove by this bar and i see this guy going down the road. His car was loud it was an older malibu with pipes is all i could tell. I got him to stop and i was like Wanna run em? I asked him what he had. He said just a 350 so i was like ok why not. We went from a 40 punch the first race. Well it wasnt pretty i kicked the shit out of him. I put bus lengths on him. That 350 was obviously stock. Then he was like ok man lets go from a stop. So i said ok. Well i hooked up this time and well he was in my rearview mirror and got buslengths again. Well all i can say is im proud of my little 4 banger

Street Racing isn't cool, it's stupid and dangerous. But feel free to keep racing, once your car gets impounded, that means someone else can pick it up cheap at auction.

nice job beatin the 350, but an 11 second 240 is damn hard, and judging by the quality of your writing, your not smart enough to make an 11 second car... and street racing is just plain stupid, go to a track...

For the record: that old malibu could have easily owned your ass.

350s are not weak at all, I built a 307 that put down 438HP on pump gas for a daily street driver.

130 on the highway=stupidest thing ever. Wait until your tire blows up at the speed...

Beating a honda out the light to the speedlimit or a little above it is one thing; but a full balls-out race on the street...

ok my 240 is no 11 second 240, but that stang wasnt that great from a roll. I dont know why but he just want. I got demolished off the line when i raced the stang so we did it from a roll and that was much better.

I really don't see what the big deal is here. We all dick around on the streets from time to time. I just think it's strange that this guy posts a story about drag racing and everyone is like "omg don't street race" and "I'm never going to St. Louis." But when someone posts about "drifitng" into a curb and bending suspension parts, there's really no flaming going on. Well not as much anyway. Personally, I think the "street drifters" are more dangerous than the drag racers because 80% of the people who claim to "drift" on the streets have no clue what they're doing.
