quick lsd question
i have the VLSD in my car right now... if i wanted to switch to and open diff, would i need to change out the drive shafts? or are they the same?
i searched and only found abs lsd questions..

well my vlsd is a 5 bolt and the open was a 6, some lsd are 6 i think so it all depends which you have.

ALL usdm 240's are 6bolt axles. The JDM 180sx vlsd are 5bolt

the only difference in the differentials open dif and vlsd, are the half shafts and there difference in length with abs and or no abs. As long as you replace only the pumpkin you wont have change anything else.

she/he could be doing circle track where open diff is the best option.
or more likely is broke ass, and is selling a vlsd for $$$ with the intention of going aftermarket lsd later, lol. Last edited by ultraDorksGarage; 04-05-2005 at 02:33 PM.. |
