[S13-CA18DET] QUIET 3" exhaust that fits ?

Hey guys,
i need a quieter one than my current side exhaust (it has a muffler but that is not enough). The limit is 95dB @ 75% rpm on tracks i go and want to go, and i am very far from that.

i'd need one that does not hang low, i hate the big fart can in the back so dual tips would be nice, and i don't want to be bothered with fitment issues so no ebay crap.

I heard about the hks hi power, know it fits great, but i don't know if it fits the sound limit. And it has that big fart can

I heard about BRM, but i live in France and it would cost less to build one here (shipping + customs). So should i have my tuner build one, or are there some on the market that would fit ?

Apexi Noir is probably the quietest exhaust you can find for the cheapest price. Fujitsubo makes a very quiet exhaust as well, but they tend to be out of most people's financial grasp.

Vibrant muffler, vibrant resonator, vibrant v-band flanges, 3 inch stainless piping. Anything without a resonator on a turbocharged 4 cylinder engine will be loud.

Thanks for the advice. Still, apexi Noir is 730$ + shipping and custom duty; that is way past what i am willing to pay for an off the shelf item, and probably more than i'd have to pay for a custom job. Can't find any fujitsubo for sale too...

bummer.

Well then ... i have heard of vibrant and magnaflow for exhaust components. Any other comes to mind ?

Dynomax, Borla and a select few others. Like Mewant stated, Vibrant components facilitate new fabrication. I've personally used quite a few of their products(materials) over the years. Good reliable stuff.

I'm also looking for a quite exhaust and just finished searching threads going back to 2002. There's been some good systems over the years; but sadly, most of them have been discontinued. Right now I'm leaning towards the HKS Sport. Just wish it had a resonator like the Hi-Power, that doesn't make sense to me. The systems that have proved to be most quiet over the years are ones with large oval mufflers and oval resonators.
