Curious about a retune
Curious whether I need to re-tune my standalone??? Originally had my SR20 swap in a S14. S14 has been put to rest and now I am putting my entire swap into a S13. Everything engine wise is staying completely the same beside minor stuff to do that is diff for a S13 than a S14. So the question I ask is, do I need to re-tune my standalone if the ECU is tuned to the engine that is there being swapped???

I don't see why you would need a retune..I mean the tune is for all the engines sensors and timing/air fuel ratios..it doesn't control the chassis related stuff.i mean if you have a wideband gauge just watch it after the swap to be safe

I have an AEM series 1 Standalone with HUEGO, 5 bar map, proper CAS disc, etc... everything that was in my old set up that ran supreme on first crank never any issues.
@ angel mkiv thats what I was thinking since its EVERYTHING from the old swap, didnt even change the speed sensors in the tranny, just got a dakota speedo module to read it correctly. Yes I do have a wideband gauge, and thats what I was saying but folks always want to retune... why fix it if it aint broke... but if Im wrong please correct me cause nothing worst than a bad tune in my book |

Yeah thats what I figured, but sometimes you need a second opinion or someone to concur to what you are thinking when someone is trying too convince you other wise.
@MADE no just chassis from S14 to S13, still same motor and setup up that the standalone was tuned to originally. No major changes, just different FMIC piping |
