Titans and Denvers offers are similar from what I understand. Titans offer more money upfront, Denver spaces it out over 5 years. I'm not sure if any ownership made it in as rumored.

And no one can sleep on SF though, they are the team we could be in a few years with some good choices. They are further along...

I dont feel bad for him, he had plenty of time, regardless of all the excuses people make for him.

I think it would be funny if manning came to SF, seeing as how he is the one that replaced Harbaugh in indy.

"cap space" in the NFL is a joke, when a "restructured contract," loaded with incentives and signing bonuses outside of cap eligible pay acts as the loophole.
If the Niners sign Manning (which they won't) AND have the same weapons as Smith, add Moss and Mario Manningham (another rumor), then the 49ers will be DANGEROUS, considering the running game and defense are already in place.

I'm on the opposite side, I think he's been the product of bad situations. Too many different coaches and offensive coordinators. Singletary was a horrible coach...Nolan was defensive minded and barely paid attention with to the offense. Mike Martz was never fond of Smith. I'd put my faith on Smith just because of how well he did last year with a shortened pre-season. He can only get better with a full offseason under his belt with Harbaugh.

I'd give Smith that chance before I'd give Tebow a chance of getting better with a full off season...and I'm a Broncos fan!!!

How long till Manning signs? SF most def. his best shot now.

Feel kinda bad for ALex Smith. Whether or not SF signs Peyton, Smith will always be thought of as runner up unless he takes niners all the way.

Honestly, Even with smith, this new receiving core will help the niners take it.

Having ALL 11 startes back on D, and only one player losing out on starting (Aldon Smith>Parys Haralson all day). I really dont see the niners going anywhere but up. They only need to win 2 more games next season.

My point exactly with Smith. He had 2 dependable reciever last year and they both were NOT WRs. Now he has 2 good recievers...Moss will pull the safety with him for sure, Manningham will have 1-1 coverage, Davis will make a killing in the middle and Gore's after catch yardage should go up.

Only thing with Manningham, hopefully he'll gain his hands from 2 seasons ago since last year wasnt exactly his most productive year. But then again, he was 3rd on the depth chart.

Yes, Manning will make the offense better, but Smith isnt suspect on Harbaugh's offense. Manning will probably go to the 49ers, its the best choice now with better WR core.

Anyways the dominos are falling in place...Smith is visiting the Dolphins and also, not sure if you guy realized this but Manning and Smith have the same agent!!!

As far as O-Line, receiving corps and defense, the 49ers are Peyton's best bet to win. I have always called Peyton overrated for putting up monster numbers in the regular seasons and flaming out in the playoffs more often than he succeeded, and I meant it.
HOWEVER!!! (Stephen A style, lol)
With him and a full set of weapons, he would have no excuses, I say my Niners bring him in.

Besides, Peyton owes it to Harbaugh for taking his job in 97

Smith has always taken the line that SF was where he wanted to be even when he was constantly getting shit on by the fans. There was a contract on the table for a while now and for reasons unknown he didn't sign. It kinda makes you wonder what was really going on behind the scenes.

Other news, looks like Ochocinco might be out of NE. Good riddance.
