By the hood vents and the visible FMIC in the 3rd pic, I'd say TT V8 is true. Should be nice. Can't wait to see the actually numbers and specs, not to mention some pics from aftermarket tuners. You know once they get their hands on these it's gonna be wicked.

I'm willing to bet you a year of premie subscription it won't be a V8 and will be a TT VQ or VQHR...What do ya say? Friendly bet?

While I wouldn't mind you remaining a premie for at least another year, you are too confident for me to consider a wager.

Man I can't wait to see this thing.
I've been saving since I heard about this car, plus I plan on selling my 240 and jeep when it comes out to help aid the funds. I don't care if I have to live in the thing, I want one and I'll donate a testicle to get it...maybe both, I won't needs kids I'll have this |

its not looking bad to me. Definitely is looking like the Z's bigger brother. Which is ok by me. On top of that it will be a TT V6 though there is still debate on the engine size. Originally it was supposed to be a 3.3 destroked 3.5. Now people are saying its going to be a 3.7 hmmm

Man...the more I see pics of this car the more giddity I feel inside. Just like a little kid waiting for the new and badass toy to hit the market haha I love the styling....its bold, aggressive and damn sexy...worth the price tag I believe.
We all know it will have a VQHR variant motor in it...Nissan wouldn't spend so much money in development in that motor and not try to use it across as many platforms as possible. Also, we know the block of this new VQ can withstand up to 1000hp stock. The one thing that is still up in the air is the internal work and head work that is done for the GT-R. Rumor says Cosworth is involved with this....but I guess we have to wait until 2007 for confirmation. Either way....this car...or the next M with the new VQ is going to be my next toy haha MORE PICS: http://www.worldcarfans.com/spyphoto...n-skyline-gt-r

That scan looks sick. I am with exitspeed though, I am thinking V6 TT. I remember reading in Motor Trend a while ago Nissan wasnt using a V8 but rather keeping the monster alive with 6 cylinders. But then again that was like 6-8 months ago. *a

It wouldn't make sense IMO. The V8 is heavier and costly to modifiy (IMO) and properly cost more to produce given the numbers are not as high as the VQ. Another thing is they are trying to compete with the Porsche 911 Turbo, such as the one in the background in this pic... The Porsche has been using a 6cycl, twin turbo, AWD setup for awhile and I can see Nissan trying to mate up with that setup as much as possible. As far as emissions goes....I'm pretty sure Nissan can make this pass emission laws worldwide. Lets just hope California doesn't try to sue them again.

The Porsche still looks sportier
i don't know... the fenders are too tall to look like a car that'll take on z06's, 911's, etc. In that picture, it looks like a 2-door camry on steroids

They better !
There's just something about a traditional manuel that makes the car feel..... Like a car instead of a computerized box... You don't really "feel" the car with auto and paddle shift cars... OH well.. Still looks ok. Thanks for the video. |
