Dai's Driving Academy 4! Sunday Sep20th, El Toro $85 (Shogun Rental Drift Car $150)
***NEW INFO*** SHOGUN DRIFT SCHOOL CAR RENTAL & COACH SHOGUN STYLE PERFFORMANCE is now building exclusive school car for Dai's Driving Academy, which is 240SX with minimum cost drift modification on its suspension and LSD. Suspension is sponsered by TOKICO and SWIFT, and its LSD will be simply welded for drifting purpose. The owner, Matt Monaco himself will attend in coaching beginner drifters with this school car. Its rental fee including his coaching for two hours will be $150 plus tire cost of $50 each tire used. NOW ANY DRIVER WHO DON'T HAVE A DRIFT CAR HAVE A CHANCE FOR DRIFTING CHALLENGE MINI SWAP MEET FOR ALL DRIVERS/GUEST/STAFF This is another trial for all participants to have a chance to get rid of sleeping parts at home. Exclusive area and sales attendance for all day will be available at $10 for 5 items. Cash sales bring cash back at the end of the day, and credit card sales will receive check in mail after card company's transaction. (Credit card sales is optional for seller's choice, since tax amount must be deducted.) ---------------------------------------------- SEPTEMBER 20 DAI'S DRIVING ACADEMY 4 Date: Sep. 20 (Sun), 2009, 9AM-4PM At: Ex-USMC Air Station at El Toro, Irvine, CA Instructors: Ross Petty & Taka Aono Special Guest Pro Drivers(tentaitive): Hiro Sumida, Michael Essa, Forrest Wang Collaboration: Shogun Style Performance (Matt Monaco, Course Management), Garage Boso (Ross Petty, Instructor), SR MotorCars(Steve Rogers, Tech Inspection), H&D Racing(Hiroki Miyaji, Translator) TIME TABLE: 8:00AM Registration start at the registration tent. All drivers receive Goody Bag. 9:00AM Opening meeting at the course, Instructors, staff introduction 9:10AM Course and Driving Guide for all drivers NOON-1:00PM Lunch time, no driving at courses except event staffs 4:00PM Closing meeting COURSES: Beginner Drift Courses (Skid Pad, Figure 8 & Short Course) Advanced Drift Course(for both intermediate and advanced drivers) Advanced Auto-Cross Courses (2 types of long courses) *We can adjust courses based on drivers’ level and the number of drivers. SAFETY ISSUES: Please wear HELMET. LONG SLEEVE SHIRT and Gloves are recommended. Do not enter driving course area for watching or photo/movie shooting. "SOY'S LAP TIMING" TEAM: This time, we'll get support by "SOY'S LAP TIMING" team for 1 mile loop grip course and prepare score cards for drivers as well. In order to have equal opportunity for all grip drivers and also to have good distribution of derivers in two grip courses, we may need grouping of grip drivers in 2 or 3 groups. DIRECTIONS TO EL TORO AND REGISTRATION: CLUI Land Use Database Map View Take FWY #5, and get off at SAND CANYON exit. At the south side under FWY #5, there’s MARINE WAY. Proceed to the end of MARINE WAY, then TURN RIGHT. You’ll soon find our registration tent on the entry way at left. Sign on the waiver form and get colored WRIST BAND according to the instruction. Those without our wrist band are not allowed at our event location. You will find GATE at the end of MARINE WAY. From there, turn right and follow DRIVE CENTER indication to our registration tent. TECH CHECK: We’ll start Tech Check at 8:00AM at the event location, but it’s also available FREE at following locations; SR MOTORCARS, 1155 E. Its rough on tires.
How many depends on your wheel speed. I would bring 6 and plan on leaving early. I dont know what you will do..

there's no tire changing facilities on site

holding 4th gear through the sweeper when I went in mid 08 (got drifter of the day to.. ding ding)
4 runs on the big course and tires were corded. The smoke was also completely insane.. For a Miata
