you could always try doing research for yourself.
i'll give you some starting clues for you to help yourself with 1. www.google.com 2. S12 3. VG30E 4. CA18ET Yes, there is an aftermarket for them, albeit small. There are also a few die-hard S12 fans. |

i own a '88 200sx SE V6 and I have to tell you these are great cars now the aftermarket kinda depends on the engine that is in your friends witch will either be a VG30E(my car) or a CA20E (no CA18ETs in 87-88)
Now the V6 doent have much availible for it that will fit inside the engine bay so most 300ZX parts like headers and turbos dont fit but the CA even though producing 70 less Hp and loads less torque is 400lbs lighter and has more options for it performance wise on club s12 there are people who have successfully turbocharged them and are running pretty good 0-60 times (around 7 seconds or less) but from what i understand there are no specific kits you will have to reserch and find your own way to turbo it a few people on Club-s12 make there own aftermarket parts and sell them. But if its a VG30E witch is less likely since only 5000 were made in 88 you are limited to N/a power but the driving charateristics are simmiliar to driving a small V8, the torque on this thing is so broad and so much its phenominal i only have 170hp(stock+no air cleaner) but i can smoke my tires in 1st 2nd and 3rd gears without trying. and burnouts are common since luanching at anything over 1600rpm results in wheel spin. This car is a grat difter since it can smoke its tires at will. yes they are kinda ugly but you know they got that AE86 kinda look going for them and after a while of owning one i have grown to love the way it looks in short they are great cars. |

It's just a beater, while his 300z gets most of the daily driving. Sweet car, I want one, but the aftermarket blows. Jeff
