i'm thinking about having a guy do a custom cat-back for me instead of buying an n1. I was wondering if you all knew what size piping i should get for a NA s14. Is 2.5 too big?. what is it stock? and what kind of muffler should i get? thanks!

2.25 - 2.5 inches should be good. As for the muffler get free flowing muffler, and what ever kinda muffler looks good to you. <img src="http://www.themelee.com/smilies/s/otn/violent/spectator5.gif">

I say bump it up a notch. Our 2.4L processes alot of gas, so a 2.5-2.75" should be perfect. Our cars have a weak top end...so the faster we can pass gas (for lack of better terminology :biggrin:) at higher rpm, the more hp we'll make in the higher rpm range. Torque benefits from gas velocity...the narrower the pipe, the faster the velocity given the same amount of gas. However, since our cars have a good bit of torque, we can afford to go with a larger diameter to benefit the top end hp.
