i usually dont start threads like this at all..
but im too excited for this one hahaa

so i finally took the big jump. and bought new coilovers

DG-5

talked with some buddies who use them both in Japan and the USA and got such positive results on it im really pleased w/ the purchase.

When i was in Japan last year my friends told me how great they were over and over.

Anyways.
Should go on this weekend
Aligned in a few weeks
Finishing my turbo/tune change over and then hit the track by Just Drift Rd 2 at Horse Thief Mile.

Nothing like a shakedown at HTM!

rear seems to be aluminum
front is beefy as can be
quality looks great
welds are nice
SWIFT springs..
and so on and so on

Very nice! They look like great coilovers and you cant beat swift springs!

Are they comparable to other coils (from what your friends told you)? Price? Availability? Or is this a JDM hook-up only?

i got them from driftspeed directly.
they are in orange county. went there before work..

yeah that can is lubrication..probalby just brake cleaner or something. haha.
im sure ill get it in the eyes some how and it will burn like brake cleaner does. or on some open cuts.

right now i run STANCE GR + PRO
which is great
ive had Tein HE as my frist coilover (S13)
went to JIC FLTA2 (S13)
then i did Tanabe DD (S14)
then Stance GR+ Pro (s14)
then Stance GR+ PRO (s13)
now these DG-5s

i love the stance adn thes upport.
seems the DG-5 Support is great too just a call and a freeway drive away!

I will probably get some STANCE again for another s13..thinking of making a new daily s13. haha...KA

im very interested to hear how these are, and if possible, how you compare them to Silks. i was either going with Silks or DG-5, but ended up snagging a set of Yashio Factory. Great purchase no doubt!!!

DG-5 suspension was designed by Keiichi Tsuchiya, or he at least had some role in that company.

Kei Office is no more. DG-5 is the new company I think.

He just bought into the hype of the zilvia's generic jdm coilover of the month bandwagon hype and acually believed they all great as they were with no backing or reason to even kno why they were suosed to be so great....

Big ups to DG5's btw. I had a set of Kei Office XR's and they were the best coilovers I ever had. Went from FLT-A2 orginally.

To be be perfectly honest though, they look just like stances. I mean, i know you always buy good shit, so i know they're legit. I'm just saying...Stance with a swift spring and voila!

I could be ENTIRELY wrong though.

Why make the switch anyway? Just curious.
