is there a difference in VSS S14 AT MT?

I have been looking on courtsy parts web site they list same part number, I picked up a 5 speed that didnt have the sensor in it, can I reuse my AT VSS ?

Nope, you need a S14 VSS. Doesnt matter if its a J-Spec or USDM.

No you cannot use a S13 one.

Let me rephrase the question can I Use the Automatic s14 VSS that is currently in my car on the Manual transmission with out any modification to ecm or cluster? Again everything is s14 and I am missing a manual vss ... but I think they are the same. just had a fourm member on dtown question my logic

no the vss on the auto does not fit properly you have to have a vss from a manual s14
