I'm thinking: chain links on two intake manifold bolts and two exhaust manifold bolts. Is there a better way to do it?

Ive used a seatbelt before, wrapped from the exhaust manifold to the intake. Sometimes two seat belts. just an alternative to using chains and bolts, which can break or bend.

Chains to the exhaust manifold and intake manifold. With a leveler in the middle.

Yeah that's a good idea, I think I'll use a ratchet tow strap instead of a seatbelt. Just slide it through both manifolds and grab at the top with a chain. That should work right?

yep. and you can angle the engine by moving the point of attachment forward or backward.

Mine is currently hanging from ratchet strap wrapped from intake mani to exhaust mani. I've Done this with 4 SR's and no problems yet.

I've used chains with seat belt bolts around the motor mount brackets then looped up through intake and exhaust manifold to keep it balanced.

I dont like having anything with a ratchet mechanism because it can fail unexpectedly, or you might accidentally trigger it to loose it's grip.
